Members of Somerset Country Club celebrated the centenary of their course’s formation in 2019. It’s an old Seth Raynor design that has been substantially altered down the years.
Formed in 1898, Spring Lake Golf Club operated a 9-hole course up until a new 18-hole George C. Thomas Jr. layout arrived in 1911. A. W. Tillinghast substantially modified the course seven years later and this is the one that’s still in play today.
Renovated by John Steidel in 1989 when he added three new holes, the short, tree-lined old course at Tacoma Country & Golf Club is more than a century old.
The Honors Course is set in a secret valley to the north of Chattanooga and it’s another jewel in America’s golf course crown.
The Tournament course is a former Houston Open venue and this Robert von Hagge and Bruce Devlin-designed layout was the first of three courses to appear at The Woodlands Country Club in 1978.
Tulsa Country Club is the second oldest course in the state of Oklahoma, dating back to 1920 when A.W. Tillinghast set out the fairways. It’s been much modified down the years, most notably by Jay Morrish.
Laid out on a tight parcel of land beside the Williamette River, the course at Waverley Country Club dates back to not long after the club was formed in 1896.
Seth Raynor designed Yeamans Hall in South Carolina in 1925. It has been called "a time capsule in Charleston" in appreciation of it embodying all that is good in traditional golf course design...
