Abama Golf

This would normally tick all the boxes for me, fun, different undulating ,water etc etc, its like the designer has just ticked everything possible and built it.

Nice course with great location and views

Abama Golf is a really nice course on Tenerife.

Cracking layout, perched on a hillside, allowing great use of tiered fairways and greens.

Dave Thomas designed Abama in 2005, a masterpiece of a golf course on the west coast of Tenerife, set on a large hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean with the island of La Gomera clearly visible across the bay.

One of the best courses on Tenerife that does not play long but is demanding precision of your play:

+ Great view on the ocean and the course (greens/fairways) are in perfect shape

+ Most Par 4s and Par 5s are not long, however, driving areas are not wide.

There's little question that Abama provides a regal view -- the Atlantic Ocean in full sight from the clubhouse and the Ritz Carlton provides all the key amenities associated with top tier travel.

Played 2 rounds here in November and even as hotel guests the fee was €160/ person - so it is roughly twice as much as other courses!

Abama is a delight not to be missed on any golf trip to Tenerife, provided of course that you can bring yourself to part with the rather hefty 200 euro green fee.

Not my cup of tea and can't agree with earlier comments.
