Review for The Addington

Reviewer Score:

This Course only 6300 yards but feels longer and there are many long approaches. 6 par 3s of which 2 are long and difficult and all are good. And 5 par 4s of well over 400 yards. The holes all looked interesting to my eye, and with good variation. A lot of risk reward shots, especially off the tee and generally fair results for medium shots and for poor shots. The greens were in good condition, and several have difficult borrows. The first 6 holes and 18th have a`parkland` feel, the remainder more on heathland type terrain, with many steep gullies and slopes; having the two distinct parts adds to interest and variety. The par 5 12th is quirky as the drive runs out of fairway making a lottery of any attempted second to the very visible and well protected green. A few blind shots, but except on 8th most did not have big impact on perspective of the hole. Overall one of the best courses I`ve played and well worth place in Top 50
