​La Hacienda Links Golf Resort's Links Course, located in Sotogrande, Cádiz, in southern Spain, is renowned for its beautiful design that harmoniously blends with nature.

Probably the course with the best views of the Mediterranean Sea and Gibraltar you'll find in the area.

La Hacienda, Alcaidesa Links could well occupy the best beachfront setting of any golf course in Spain and will likely move up the Spanish rankings in years to come.

I never played the original course but this re design is outstanding, with so much fun on every hole, its not long but thank god the wind was only gentle as it could be carnage, its fairly open and kind off the tee but hitting the right shot into every green is tricky due to the elevation changes either up or hitting down, the par 5s are excellent especially 5 and 7, 5 must be one of the most elevated tee shots with stunning views of Gibraltar and into the distance Morocco , 11,12,13,14 are also stunning holes, with 13 sharing the green with 5, you could liken it to a Modern Day Shiskine where the emphasis is on fun, and there is nothing wrong with that, this course will fly up the list once they are re done

A very nice course with even nicer views of the sea, the strait of Gibraltar, the rock and Africa o a clear day.

Some years Ago The Ailsa Course at Turnberry was redone plus upgraded and the promotional video they produced spoke about “Ailsa Reborn” which meant the Course was starting a new life, maybe off The Open for now but hopefully back in the future.
