Alenda Golf

Opened for play in 1999, the course at Club de Golf Alenda is a Roland Favrat design which is set around a residential development outside Alicante, featuring all the usual sand and water hazards expected on a resort layout.

Occupying around 120 acres of the property, the course extends to 6,257 metres from the back tees, with holes laid out as two returning nines. Ponds come into play at the short par four 4th, then at the 15th and 18th on the back nine.

Highlight holes include the severely right doglegging par four 6th (rated stroke index 2); the long par five 12th (with out of bounds all down the right side); and the last of the par threes at the 165-metre 16th, which plays to a heavily sand-protected green.

World Top 100 Golf Courses

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
