Located less than 40 kilometres north of the border with Austria, the 45-hole Princely Golf Resort Bad Waldsee nestles just outside the small town of Bad Waldsee in the Upper Swabia region of Baden-Württemberg. The Old course is a Donald Harradine design which debuted in 1969 so it's twenty-nine years older (and 400 metres shorter) than its younger sibling, the New course.

Bad Waldsee (Old)

It is located just 40 kilometres to the north of Austria's border Austria The golf course is 45 holes. Princely Golf Resort Bad Waldsee lies just outside the small village in Bad Waldsee in the Upper Swabia region of Baden-Wurttemberg.

It's the Old Course, one of a Donald Harradine design which debuted in 1969. It's therefore nearly 29 years old (and 400 meters shorter) in comparison to its more recent sister, the new course.

The layout is now 6,007 metres from normal tees, and par putts at 72 (37 out and 35 in). The water comes into play on two holes on the outer half A small lake is located directly in the front of the green on the left side of the doglegging 4th hole (rated as stroke index 7,) and a couple of lakes lie just to the right of the green adjacent to 9th, a par 3 in a position to catch the tee shots that are pushed.The most notable holes along the nine's front are the doglegging par four left 3rd, as well as the tough par eight (rated stroke index one) that is out of bounds - the adjoining forest running along the right part of the fairway, from the tee to the green. The back nine is a bit shorter there is a right-bending 11th, which measures 423 metres in the southernmost region of the course is a challenging golf hole (rated stroke index 1.).
