Formed in 1972, Bærum Golfklubb is located on the site of the old Hellerud farm in Lommedalen, where historical documents date the origins of the property back to the 14th century.
Today, the course measures a modest 5,556 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 71 (37 out then 34 in), with three par fives configured on the outward half and only one par five on the inward half.
Highlight holes include a couple of left doglegging short par fours. The first of these is at the 4th (where the tee shot plays over a pond then the approach must carry three bunkers in front of the green) and the second is at the tighter, tree-lined 8th hole.
On the back nine, all three par threes are memorable but the best is probably the 10th, the shortest at only 121 metres, which is played through a chute of trees to a long, narrow green.
