I enjoyed this course more than my two Irish companions (from Royal Dublin and Enniscrone) when we played it twice. There were many very good holes, although the near-270 degree horseshoe around an old quarry is a "trick hole": use old balls for this one.
We were welcomed well into the Saturday competition too: it is always more enjoyable when this happens when touring foreign courses.
Overall, Jim McCann's review is very accurate except for our differences about the "horseshoe".
After playing, pop down to the nearby access to the lake and have a swim, a beer and a pizza: excellent for rounding a day at a course well worth your while.
