Bamburgh Castle Golf Club

Short on Length but extra long on Views, Bamburgh Castle GC is a lot of fun to play.

There are golf courses where you feel close to nature.

A fun short course but great fun.

I didn't really know what to expect when we booked here as part of a trip to the area but leaving I think it might be my favourite of the courses in the area.

It's all been said.

We drove through the village and past the towering and amazing Castle perched on high along the most majestic Northumbria coastline, the vista and surroundings were never going to be in question, turn down a narrow road, that eventually leads into a narrower lane that leads you to the top of the cliff and the Golf Club, the mystique heightens.

Bamburgh Castle was the first course to light a fire in my soul for this wonderful game of ours.

On a wet, Misty and foggy day the views were ruined unfortunately.

I was interested to find out whether the course would match the quality of its historical landmarks having previously sailed around Bamburgh Castle and the nearby Farne Islands.

This is a truly unique golf course on an elevated cliff site to the north of the small town of Bamburgh.
