Pacific Dunes, the jewel in the crown of America,s finest golf resort. It is quite simply "STUNNING",the nearest course to a traditional British links that America has. Stand on any tee and you could be at Turnberry, Birkdale, Nairn etc,. Wild and woolly to look at,the course fits in well with the lay and roll of the ground, the turf is the same as you get in the UK and maintained as such, giving a fast running course year round. It even has vast swathes of Gorse, possibly the only place in the US that has this wonderful !!!! plant.!!In fact the only thing that differs between this course and its UK cousins is the constant roar of the Pacific Ocean as it pounds the beach down below the cliff tops that this course is built on. A game here is wonderful and well worth the 10hr drive from San Francisco, and while you,re here, play the other courses..Bandon Dunes..and Bandon Trails..The dunes is another world class links, and the Trails is 3 holes in the dunes and 15 holes that remind the player of the best Heathland courses in and around Surrey/Berkshire in England..All in all a fantastic place to play golf.
