Banyan is a good golf course which is presented in very good conditon but I found it to be very expensive for what it is. It is a course that is somewhat predicatable and clearly done by an architect who did not take any great risks. The par 5’s are the best holes on the course.
The clubhouse is pleasant and very welcoming. The buggies are in good shape and the caddies were very good.
I thoroughly enjoyed my round as I was playing well but putting badly (this was not a reflection on the greens which were excellent).
I would recommend going and playing Banyan at least once and then decide if you want to pay that much to go again. It costs the same as Black Mountain but is better value and less commercial. They did not seem to be proposing twilight greenfees. DAVID LAIRD
