Barrière La Baule (Red)
The original 18-hole course at Barrière La Baule was a Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas co-production from the late 1970s. In 1994, Michel Gayon was called in to split this course in two, add another nine on to each half to form two 18-hole layouts (still called “Red” and “Blue”), and create an additional 9-hole “Green” course.
Today, the Red course comprises holes 10 to 18 of the original layout within the following configuration:
New holes 1-4 were old holes 10-13, new holes 5-13 are Gayon originals, new holes 14-15 are the old holes 14-18.
