Bear's Best CheongNa (Australasia & USA)

The 27-hole course at Bear’s Best CheongNa Golf Club is – as you might expect from the name – a Jack Nicklaus design that was unveiled early in the new millennium with each loop named Australasia, Europe and USA.

It’s a proven tournament venue, hosting the tri-sanctioned Shinhan Donghae Open since 2015, which is staged on the Australasia and United States of America circuits.

Bear’s Best CheongNa was the third “Bear’s Best” layout to open after Bear’s Best Las Vegas in 2001 and Bear’s Best Atlanta the following year. The third South Korean sibling opened close to Seoul downtown in 2012, it hosted the Shinhan Donghae Open on the Asian Tour between 2014 and 2019 and the Korea Women’s Open in 2019.

The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
