Review for The Belfry (PGA National)

Reviewer Score:

We played the PGA as part of a £99 deal (plus a round on the Brabazon, a night in the hotel plus breakfast) on Sunday 29th and Monday 30th March. The course was in fantastic condition and the weather was bright sunshine and no wind. We played off the whites but the course plays quite long anyway because every green is raised so you're hitting one more club into every green. The greens were in incredible condition, they said 10.5 on the stimps on the information screen in the clubhouse but the course marshal said they were more like 11.5 because the sun had baked them out so they were very fast but receptive to a full shot, they definitely got quicker as we went round. I really enjoyed the course, it has a links feel to it and yes it was busy but we were in no rush and got round in about 4.5 hours. My favourite holes were the the par 5 holes 2, 10 and 12. BB.
