Bella Vista (Highlands)

Located on the Springfield Plateau of the Ozark Mountains, the Highlands course is home to the local high school teams from Bentonville and Gravette where it’s acknowledged as the longest and most challenging of the five 18-hole layouts at Bella Vista.

Configured as two large, returning 9-hole loops, the Highlands course extends to 7,040 yards but, with six sets of tees on every hole, the course can be played as short as 3, 914 yards from the most forward markers.

Feature holes include the 132-yard 9th, with the green positioned behind a small pond, and the 454-yard 13th (rated stroke index 2), which plays to a sand-protected offset green and many consider it to be the toughest hole on the card.

Leave enough time when you visit here to tackle at least one of the other 18-hole courses at Bella Vista – Country Club, Scotsdale, Dogwood or Kingswood – or at least play a warm up round on either the 9-hole Berksdale course or the Brittany executive short course.
