Bent Tree Country Club
Bent Tree Country Club is one of the more private clubs on the north side of Dallas, originally constructed during 1972. Although the original course was from the pen of Desmond Muirhead, Keith Foster arrived near the turn of the millennium in order to do a full renovation.
The course is tight for space, both because of the region’s rising population and because the course’s architects used ample water to enforce accuracy at the course, which stretches to just beyond 7,000 yards. On the east end of the property is the wide White Rock Creek, which imposes itself upon the dogleg at No. 15. No. 11 will face a lake along the right during its tee shot, and then a separate pond on the same side during their approach shot.
No. 12 may be the most nerve-wracking hole, as it travels in the opposite direction, featuring both the aforementioned bodies of water on its right, while another lake creates a hazard on the left. No. 15 is a par three with a peninsular green in a horseshoe-shaped lake, while No. 18 ends the round on a similar note to the Bay Hill Champion Course.
