Second only to the 18 holes on the Black layout at the five-course Bethpage State Park complex, the Red course is known to some as “Baby Black,” giving ample indication of the challenge that awaits here.

Don’t be fooled by the “little brother “ moniker, the Red is a big boy golf course. From the back tees, five par fours play over 450 yards! After playing through the trees from 2-7, the course emerges into scrubby flatland and flexes its muscle on the 8-15 stretch. Gotta love the bookend par fours, especially 18 which competes as the best par four on the entire property.
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
