Bighorn Golf & Country Club

Set out in the shadows of Mount Peter and Mount Paul, the bent grass fairways of Bighorn Golf & Country Club (formerly Sun Rivers) weave their way around a residential development that’s located just five minutes from downtown Kamloops.

Measuring 6,870 yards from the back tees, the course is laid out as two returning nines – par 35 for the front loop and par 36 for the back loop – with holes routed around substantial clusters of housing. There’s only one irrigation pond serving the property, and mercifully it’s kept away from the line of play to the left of the 10th hole.

Highlight holes include the par four 5th (featuring a split fairway and rated stroke index 1 on the card); the severely right doglegging par four 7th; the tough par four 14th in the northeast corner of the layout; and the 466-yard par five 18th which offers a reasonable chance of a birdie finish at the last.
