Finally played last week, and despite frost and the odd patch of snow on the course all full greens were in play by late morning and in good condition, if understandably a little slow. The clubhouse was very nice and the staff and members very friendly. We had a very enjoyable and good value game of golf, but I can't help thinking that the course itself is a little over rated from the yellow tees. A number of the holes were a little samey, and the layout not as interesting as the lower rated Ladybank and Gleneagles Queens. I am sure that it will be an even more pleasant experience once Spring finally arrives, and definitely worth playing, but potential players are not well served by exaggerated expectations.
