Borgo di Luce I Monasteri

Located between the UNESCO World Heritage sites of Syracuse and Noto, the Borgo di Luce I Monasteri Golf Resort features an 18-hole (par 71) layout designed by architects David and Vincenzo Mezzacane, where holes are laid out amid groves of citrus trees and prickly pear cacti and water comes into play on several occasions.

Occupying a property of around 200 acres, the course extends to 6,515 metres from the back tees, playing to a par of 71 (35 out then 36 in), with holes arranged as two returning nines. Water hazards feature on holes 9 to 12 then again at the par four closing hole.

The 5-star on-site hotel is a former Benedictine monastery comprising 102 exquisitely furnished guest rooms and suites which are located on the ground floor in various parts of the hotel’s three main buildings, with wonderful views of the hotel gardens, the golf course, or the one-time monastery’s interior patios.

The pool bar provides light lunches, while Le Ceramiche restaurant serves à la carte dinners based on Mediterranean cuisine. The Zagara spa consists primarily of stone surfaces, extending over an area of 300 square metres, offering guests a Turkish bath, sensory shower, sauna, hot tub, relaxation area and a range of treatments.
