Designed by King-Collins on 464 acres of Tennessee farmland, the layout incorporates centuries-old creek systems, rolling meadows, and four elevated vantage points with unobstructed views of the Nashville skyline.
Bounty Club marks the first new golf course to be built in the Nashville metropolitan area in over 25 years, with King-Collins bringing the same naturalistic design philosophy that defined Sweetens Cove to a 464-acre site bisected by multiple creek systems just minutes from the city centre.
Bounty Club is a development of 8AM Golf — the ownership group that also operates Golf Magazine, Golf.com, and the Nicklaus Companies — with Justin Timberlake, a partner in 8AM Golf since 2020, serving as a key collaborator in the project. Land acquisition began in late 2022, with the property located off Briley Parkway at the Whites Creek exit in Davidson County, Tennessee.
King-Collins Golf Course Design — the firm founded by Rob Collins and Tad King, best known for Sweetens Cove in South East Tennessee — was commissioned to design the course. Rob Collins confirmed construction commencement in February 2023. The property was subsequently expanded through the acquisition of an additional 112 acres from Ole South Properties Inc. for $7.5 million, bringing the total site to 464 acres, with overall land investment totalling approximately $30 million.
The clubhouse has been designed by Pfeffer Torode Architecture. The course is scheduled to open in 2026.
Bounty Club's routing is built around the natural topography of the Whites Creek site, which is intersected by both dry and wet creek systems running across 12 of the 18 holes. The fairways move through open meadows and along natural ravines, with the course starting and finishing midway up a prominent 250-foot hill that carries a farmhouse-style clubhouse at its summit.
The layout incorporates a number of half-par holes, making it well-suited to match play formats. The opening hole is a par 5 with its tee benched into the hillside, the fairway dropping away below before an open green complex reachable in two for longer hitters. Rob Collins and shaper Joe Hancock worked in collaboration on the routing decisions, with the construction team also including Robert Nelson, Dan Philcox, John Ellsworth, Abe Wilson, and Rob Allen.
Bunkering is minimal, with the creek systems, barrancas, and natural slope changes serving as the primary strategic elements. Four elevated points across the property offer unobstructed views of the Nashville skyline across a 15-mile sightline.
Bounty Club represents a significant addition to the Tennessee golf landscape — the first new course in the Nashville metro area in more than a quarter-century, delivered by the King-Collins firm on a site that makes naturalistic use of an intricate creek and ravine network. Invitation-only access and a $30 million land investment position this as one of the most architecturally and commercially significant private golf developments in the American South in recent years.
