Bowood Park Hotel & Golf Club

I played as one of four recreational golfers.

I’ve played bowood a couple times over the winter.

We played during a short trip in August but happen to pick the one week where the weather broke and had rain.

It is over ten years since we have been to Bowood Park, and on the two previous occasions we played in damp autumn conditions.

Bowood Park is very much a child of the 90's, a modern style course with generous but sloping fairways and the awful mounding to the sides; little in the way of bunkers so few tee shots captured the imagination.

As guests of the hotel, we decided to play an afternoon round at Bowood Park as a complement to the morning at Saint Enodoc.

Whilst visiting family in Cornwall I stumbled across Bowood Park Golf Club near Tintagel.

I’m sure I’m not the only one to have driven straight through Camelford on the A39 en-route to St Enodoc, Trevose or Perranporth and completely ignored Bowood Park, which is set only a mile or so away from the Atlantic “super” Highway.
