The Forest course is set a 30 second drive from the clubhouse and Manor course, and that drive transports you back to the 1800s!

This is a unique experience in golf now - it feels like nothing is man made or changed, and nature is the greenkeeper here. This would be a great place to play with Hickories and old balls - I’m sure the club could make a fine experience out of this if they were motivated to do so!If you don’t come ...

This ancient golf course is over 150 years old and in many ways is a throwback to what golf courses were surely like in the late 19th Century, for this is ‘golf in the raw’.

Yes the maintenance is not spectacular as are some of the holes. But this course is just fun. Its open, easy scoring, fairly true greens, some really fun holes and all in the beauty of the forest. The Forest Course can’t be considered the premier course at Bramshaw, but being a complete contrast to its sister course, the Manor, the Forest will be the one to attract the purists.

Most people seem to prefer the Manor Course but I know there are a few of us who veer towards The Forest as a preference.
