Brancepeth Castle Golf Club

A hidden gem, but.

Brancepeth Castle GC is a pleasant parkland course played over the undulating parkland surrounding the Castle and Church.

What a lovely surprise this course was, sometimes when you don't know much about a course before you play it, might be disappointing but not this course great fun, rolling hills , although lots of trees it felt fine and just the feel of playing each hole.

Brancepeth Castle is a lovely parkland course with two common characteristics.

Brancepeth Castle GC, founded in 1924 set in the wonderful Durham countryside, originally designed by Harry Colt certainly lived up to my expectations.

There are a couple of lasting memories of Brancepeth Castle from my last visit, 10+ years ago, the undulating topography and the 'Castle holes'.

An interesting site for a golf course, Brancepeth is a Harry Colt design not far from Durham in the North East of England.

As a former member, I had a fabulous 18 months here, and had it not been for the travelling, I’d still be there today.

Brancepeth Castle is an exhilarating parkland course played across good turf on the outskirts of Durham.

Great variety in lovely surroundings.
