Broadstone Golf Club

Having played Parkstone the prior day I was intrigued to play its near neighbour both logistically but also in the ratings and what I found was totally different experience from that of Parkstone.

Broadstone is a big golf course, on a big piece of land with dramatic changes of elevation.

Some stunning course design that tests even the best golfer's mettle.

Despite its position within the top 100 rankings, Broadstone Golf Course is arguably the least impressive of the four featured Dorset Heathland courses.

Prepare your cardiovascular system in advance for this one, it has got to be one of the most undulating courses in England.

Great staff and great course a couple of blind shots make it interesting but great fun.

This a great course with a good mix of short and long par 4s and some risk and reward.

Beautiful course, bedded maturely into the local surrounds which is a hybrid of parkland and heathland terrain.

As noted, not a particularly long course, but featuring a wonderful variety of heathland holes in a generally wooded setting.

When it comes to golf architecture being compared to art, one main difference is that not all canvasses in golf are made equal.
