Review:

The Bucks is probably slightly underrated on the Top100 website. I can understand why, as it’s not a traditional or natural course, but it is a clever and interesting design, offering a good mix of tactical holes with a balanced variation of par and excellent bunkering. Designed in the modern era, this is a course that suits the modern game, as the premium is on line and length, making this a target golf course and a shot makers dream. The round starts with a par 5 to get you going and a short par 4, 2nd, so getting off to a good start is relatively straight forward. If you are on your game and putting well there are plenty of opportunities to score well here. I really enjoyed the amount of choices you get off the tee, as there are ample opportunities to take on a carry over a bunker to leave short iron approaches, or to play safe and leave more demand on the approach. The par 3’s are all delightful on the eye, as a lot of thought has gone into the positioning of the bunkers. The design also offers lots of pin placement options, so I can imagine you wouldn’t tire of playing here as each round could offer a different challenge. As previously stated in the reviews, the venue is aimed at corporate and event golf, so the presentation is immaculate and the ambience is that of class and style. It’s certainly a course I would recommend and return to.
