I played the course last weekend and we had a great time. The location is stunning, set amongst the dunes at the Southern tip of Sylt with views over the North Sea and over to Amrum and Föhr, the two neighbouring islands. Course condition was excellent when we played. Course was pretty empty which was also a plus. Furthermore super friendly staff in the pro shop, good locker rooms and showers and excellent food and friendly service in the restaurant which offers beautiful views over the course and the sea. Unfortunately there was not enough room to build a driving range so you've got to warm up by hitting balls into a net. The only mild criticism is that the course layout is not top notch in my view: tons of bunkers but to my mind not always in the right places and given the bunkering and the course routing, there are very few if any risk reward situations on the whole course, so little need for you to think about strategy and tactics, you just have to go for your shots. Overall a very good course which also benefits from the fact that there is a great 5 star hotel on site and you are only 20 minutes away from all the attractions offered by Westerland and its surroundings.
