Burhill Golf Club (Old)

The Old Course at Burhill is a good parkland layout with a smattering of Surrey heather that provides an enjoyable challenge to all standards of golfer.

We first went to play at Burhill some weeks ago in the midst of some of the worst rain in recent years.

Turning into the driveway to Burhill Golf Club you are treated to a very impressive entrance to the club, your expectations suitably met and then the 18th century clubhouse laid out in front of you makes you feel that you have arrived somewhere special.

Arriving at Burhill is a bit like the entrance to Augusta National!

Throughly enjoyable and relaxing track, Burhill ticks many boxes.

The old is quite comfortably better than the new as it actually has some style and character to it.

Burhill Old is a pretty track, kept in immaculate condition for many months of the year.

Both courses are Burhill are somewhat overshadowed by their numerous high profile Surrey neighbours, particularly St George's Hill which is only a couple of miles away.
