Review for Cawder (Championship)

Reviewer Score:

Cawder. A great North Glasgow golf course. In fact there are two courses at the venue. The shorter course is popular with the membership but it’s not the test that the Championship course is or as interesting.

The gentle opening hole that plays across the impressive driveway to the clubhouse relaxes you into the round. But then holes 2&3. The hardest two holes on the course. Good luck playing them.

The rest of the course is more playable. A pretty up and down course. Lovely views. It can be wet in parts but generally the greens and fairways are in good condition.

The ‘Amen Corner’ holes are a treat. Stunning looking holes and a test of your swing. The course ends with the signature 18th. A downhill par 3 straight at the impressive Clubhouse. Pick the the club!!

I found the Pro and the Club staff to be very friendly and keen to make you enjoy your day. The course is hard in places. Long in places too. A real test. But still an enjoyable challenge. Definitely worth a visit.
