Review for Celtic Manor (Twenty Ten)

Reviewer Score:

Our 6 hour trek around 18 holes was a disappointing aspect of what was a memorable experience to follow in the footsteps of the Ryder Cup. We played in April 2011 in the wind and rain but the whole day was amazing. The staff are extremely helpful and the shuttle service to and from the hotel was prompt and reliable. The course it's self was a challenge, not helped by the weather and all in all i would highly recommend this course to any enthusiast. Make a 4 ball if you can or you will be partnered with strangers to make up a 4 ball. They really do need to put a handicap limit on this course though, 6 hours is just too much and we saw plenty of "Hackers" who were clearly out of their depth... Maybe when the post Ryder cup hype wears off the course will actually become even better with a slightly speedier round.
