Chickasaw Pointe
Chickasaw Pointe was the first installation of a planned community on the shores of Lake Texoma, just a short jaunt across the border from Texas. It is fortunate to have gotten there before the homebuyers, as it was able to claim the greater part of two peninsulas that jut into the lake, offering consistent lake views across the round as you descend down the hilly terrain.
Randy Heckenkemper, a former associate of Jack Nicklaus, was the first architect to take a stab at Chickasaw Pointe Golf Club during 1999, and he was also the second: The club brought him back 15 years later to create new holes that altered the routing to fully encapsulate the second of the two peninsulas for a more scenic round.
