Cinta Sayang
Situated within a 30-minute drive of Alor Setar, the state capital of Kedah, the 18-hole golf course at Cinta Sayang Golf & Country Resort is laid out within a 190-acre property that lies in the shadow of the Gunung Jerai Mountain.
Cinta Sayang – which in Malay means “Love and Affection” – is an integral part of a popular 4-star resort that offers a wide variety sporting activities, including swimming, tennis, squash and horse riding.
The Sultan of Kedah established the course in 1989 and its generously proportioned fairways are set across a generally flat landscape, where meandering creeks and streams come into play on occasion.
Measuring 6,310 meters from the back tees and playing to a par of 72, the course is surprisingly solid for a “home grown” layout that’s been likened to Impian for looks and Staffield for playability.
