Club Mar del Plata Los Acantilados (Colorada)

Club Mar del Plata Los Acantilados was formed in 1907 but its current three 9-hole circuits – Merlo, Laguna and Medio – date back to the late 1950s, when they were designed by professionals Pedro Churio and Agustin Posse.

The club told us: “The Championship course is considered as the Red for men (Merlo and Laguna) and the Blue for women (Merlo and Medio). In any case, the Yellow combination (Medio and Laguna) is also very interesting since Medio has the most doglegged holes.”

Many players think the Laguna nine is actually the best of all three circuits at Los Acantilados, actually.

The par four 4th on this loop might is one of the best on the property, starting with tee shots played over a pond in front of the tee box (out of bounds also runs the length of the fairway on the right) then a fairway bunker set well in front of the green can fool players into thinking the putting surface is closer than it really is.
