Off the beaten track. This is probably one of the hardest golf courses to get to in Ireland that I’ve played. Some of the roads round here are seriously winding and narrow! However, the scenery will stop your complaints, it is absolutely stunning! If someone asked me is this course is worth the journey to come play this course, I would say very much so. Connemara isn’t in the upper echelons of Irish golf, nor do I think anyone claims it to be, but it is good track and an enjoyable and fair round of golf. The front 9 is fairly plainish and flat, however the back 9 provides more interest along greater topography. The 14th hole for me was the highlight of the round, with the 18th being a strong par 5 finisher to contend!
