Nestled alongside the meandering Murray River, the course at Coomealla Golf Club has several holes where out of bounds is defined by the flowing waters of the river. It also features a rather tantalising par three to finish the round at the 18th.

The layout extends to 6,100 metres from the back tees, with par set at 72 and tree-lined holes are arranged as two returning loops of nine. Although the river flows past the property, it plays no part in the playing strategy and even the irrigation lakes in the northeast corner of the site do not come into contention – effectively, there are no aquatic hazards at Coomealla.
Highlight holes on this very tight track include the short par four 6th (doglegging slightly right from tee to target); the 475-metre 8th which runs alongside the river; back-to-back par fives at the 12th and 13th; and the short par three closing hole which plays to a home green that’s surrounded by four bunkers.
