Coral Canyon
Its Coral Canyon Golf Course takes its name from the red rock formations which resemble aquatic life forms (never think about the fact that you're close to the city in Hurricane, Utah). Monitoring Keith Foster's design strategy, and not just the 40-mile views from a few of the fairways, can be a difficult task. While residential developments may occasionally are visible however, they are kept away from the course and Foster uses the natural terrain to take on the bulk of the challenges.
No. 6 is a par 3 worthy of being included in those in the St. George region's many beautiful one-shotters. It's a simple hole and is only 122 yards from back tees. There's not much to do apart from the green however, there's desert scrub lining the putting surface, and an incline on the left. Foster is famous for his many restoration projects on A.W. Tillinghast courses, but he also has also created his own "Hell's quarter acre" on his own in No. 12.
The final round of this round is somewhat unusual, as the players play their final four holes at No. 15, and then finish with a par 5 and a par three and a par five. Make sure you hit some shots!
World Top 100 Golf Courses
The latest ranking of the Top 100 Golf Courses in the World serves as the ultimate global golf bucket list. Most members of our World Top 100 Panel are seasoned golfers, each playing 20-30 of these courses annually while travelling extensively over decades to form their opinions on others. We recognise that opinions vary—even among our panel members. Rankings are subjective, and there are undoubtedly 50 or more courses in the UK and USA alone that could easily fit onto this list.
