Today, this tree-lined course measures almost 6,500 yards from the back tees, playing to a par of 71, with holes occupying an area of not more 115 acres. A round here opens with seven straight par fours and there are only two par fives on the card, at the 9th and 11th.
Notable holes include the right doglegging par four 3rd (“Steeple”) which is rated stroke index 2; the long, narrow par three 8th (“Memory”); the tough par four 12th (“Bogey”); and the tight par four 18th (“Orchard”) which plays to a heavily sand-protected home green.
