You notice right away that they are not afraid of untraditional with two back to back par 5's on holes 2 and 3. The green complexes on each hole were quite interesting with spots to miss and spots that were quite easy to get up and down. People may call out the Par 3's as the weak part of the course...

The green complexes here are really outstanding - that's what really makes this place special. The land movement is awesome and the variety of holes is very strong. Some have knocked it for not having the same level of spectacular views nor the scale of dunes that you see in some other Irish courses...

Was lucky enough to set up a round at Baltray before our trip up to RCD.

We had an incredible weather day upper 60s, sunny with a decent 10-15 mph wind. Our entire group loved the golf course and specially the routing. Constantly switching directions, plenty of quirk and some really cool golf holes. The holes I would point out are the 3rd, 8th, 12th, 14th and 16th.

No weak holes on the property. Pure links with excellent greens and conditioning. If you are headed up to RCD or Portrush from Dublin airport you are truly missing out on something.
