Located on the island of Cozumel which lies off the Yucatan Peninsula, the Steve Nicklaus new millennium design at Cozumel Country Club was the first course in Mexico to be officially designated as a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary.
After many discussions on how to ensure a strong and viable future becasue of the covid-19 pandemic, the club decided that the Cozumel Country Club was no longer sustainable and made the unfortunate decision to close the Club. The closure became effective on January 31, 2021.
