Creigiau

Formed in 1921, Creigiau Golf Club lies on the outskirts of Cardiff, with quite a few of the holes on the course configured as interesting short par fours.

Only two of the par four holes measure in excess of 400 yards so length off the tee isn't a big issue here. As every hole is lined with mature trees, it's more important for golfers to be accurate with their tee shots and approach shots because straying too far from the cut grass on the fairway will probably result in a dropped shot or worse beneath the branches.

Highlight holes on the outward half include the left doglegging par four 7th (rated stroke index 3) and the only par five on the front nine at the 520-yard 8th, which snakes right and left as the fairway narows into the northernmost corner of the property. On the inward half, the best par three on the card might well be the 174-yard 16th, played to a bunkerless green.
