Players need to be warmed up and raring to go right from the off here because the round gets under way with a really tough par four (rated stroke index 1) which doglegs right from the tee box to a narrowing fairway that leads to an offset green.

The front nine then concludes with a rather easier par four at the 351-yard 9th, where three bunkers protect the right hand side of the green.

On the back nine, there’s a good opportunity to bag a birdie at the 285-yard 11th, the shortest par four on the card, provided some enormous bunkers can be avoided on either side of the fairway and flanking the green.

The round finishes at the par five 18th in the northwest portion of the property, with tee shots played over rocky outcrops to a fairway that veers left on its way towards a heavily sand-protected home green.
