Crooked Water Golf Club

Crooked Water Golf Club is a private golf club located in the United States, emerging from the grounds of the former Burl Oaks Golf Club, which operated for more than five decades before undergoing a comprehensive transformation. The club was redesigned under the creative direction of golf course architect Jay Blasi, who founded his own firm in 2012 following earlier work with Robert Trent Jones II beginning in 2000. The redesigned 18-hole course is scheduled to open to members in 2026, with full golf services anticipated by 2027. Alongside the main course, a 9-hole short course and revitalized practice facilities form part of the redevelopment.

Blasi's design philosophy centers on the use of natural landforms and thoughtful routing to create courses that are engaging and visually distinctive. His prior credits include work on Chambers Bay and SentryWorld, both of which have hosted significant professional championships, as well as the widely noted renovation of Poppy Ridge in California. At Crooked Water, Blasi has applied this approach to a complete overhaul of the existing layout, effectively rendering the former Burl Oaks course unrecognizable.
