Situated outside the small village of Ipplepen, just off the A381 Newton Abbot to Totnes road, the course at Dainton Park Golf Club is an Adrian Stiff design from the early 1990s, with eighteen holes routed in an out-and-back fashion across 105 acres of rolling Devon terrain.
Extending to 6,400 yards from the back markers, the course plays to a par of 71. Highlights on the front nine include the severely left doglegged par four 2nd, the par three 4th hole which features a long, narrow green, and the par four 9th in the northeast corner of the layout.
On the inward half, demanding par fives at the 14th and 16th head in opposite directions, linked by the par three 15th which plays to a triangular-shaped green. The round then ends with the 403-yard 18th returning to the clubhouse along the western perimeter of the property.
