Deer Ridge

Located around seventy five miles southwest of Toronto, Deer Ridge Golf Club is a par 72 championship golf course which was founded in 1991 by local businessmen Bob Sutherland, Jerry Cybalski and Eugene George, in collaboration with golf professional Gus Maue. The renowned Canadian golf course architect, Thomas McBroom, designed it.

Tucked away from the humdrum of everyday living in a secluded valley, with the Grand River bordering the property, Deer Ridge is a private venue for those who want to fit in a game during the week or steal away to entertain clients without having to worry about booking a tee time.

Deer Ridge is designed to challenge golfers of all playing abilities and there are a number of tees on every hole which can stretch the overall length from a modest 5,347 yards to a monster 7,105 yards. This well presented course makes good use of the existing landscape and, with the addition of over seventy strategically placed bunkers, judicious mounding and generous greens, it offers a fair test of golfing skill for those fortunate enough to play here.

Brian Hadley, the head professional at Thames Valley Golf Club in London, posted a first round 59 in the PGA of Ontario Championship in 2013, which was a remarkable accomplishment under tournament conditions on the Deer Ridge course.
