Delamere Forest Golf Club

If there was one architect (not named Harry Colt) in GB&I that I would strongly recommend, it would be Herbert Fowler.

The black gate slides open and past the traditional clubhouse, glazed in pebbledash, is just a hint of one of the finest heathland courses in England.

Delamere Forest has several terrific golf holes over its rolling, sometimes hilly terrain.

The golf holes appear as if they were always there, nothing forced, nothing obnoxious - good honest golf.

Delamere Forest was a course I had been eager to play for sometime.

A beautiful, classic heathland course on interesting land with lovely turf, perfect clubhouse and very welcoming members made for a day to remember.

After wanting to play Delamere for some time, I was not disappointed.

I thought its about time i published a review of my own golf course , as unbiased as possible.

We arrived at Delamere Forrest two hours before the tee time, allowing ample time to enjoy a fantastic breakfast & warm up with the complimentary balls on the range.

This place is on a wonderful piece of land on the edge of Delamere Forest, in Cheshire, sort of 20mins East, North East of Chester.
