The following couple of edited paragraphs are from the book Golf in India: The ultimate golfing guide by Phil Ryan and Paul Reeves:

“This is as far east in India you can go and play golf, however with the Deihing forest on three sides it is also one of the most likely golf courses in India where golfers will find wildlife sharing the fairways. The forest is home to wild elephants, deer, wild boar, and even leopards. Note to golfers, best to take a caddie along who can double up as a wildlife officer.

The course is a par 72 of 6309 yards. While the forest along the boundaries gives the course a treed feel the fairways are only lightly treed so the golf can be quite forgiving. Having said that the greens are well protected with 1920s-style bunkers and there are many open drains crossing the golf which catch the shots played along the ground.”

Highlights include the very long opening hole (stroke index 1) which plays to a well-protected green; the par five 7th (with out of bounds right of the fairway); the last of the short holes at the 126-yard 16th; and the par four 18th, where the fairway bends slightly right to the home green, with out of bounds running the full length of the hole of the right side.
