We spent a week on the island and bought a 4-round package each.

All the staff we encountered were friendly, and although not of a tour standard, we found Palmiers particularly enjoyable. Having played Acacias once, we didn't repeat that combination of nines, preferring to stick to Palmiers and La Mer.

As a long hitter, I teed up on the whites, but I had little trouble reaching all holes in regulation, even though the wind picked up quite a bit on some days.

The courses are in excellent condition, although the greens were quite slow.

I think a little on those greens would make this a difficult test, but we enjoyed our rounds regardless.

The practice facilities are also well conditioned and as good as any you'd find at most top 100 courses. That being said, the rickety ball dispenser has a tendency to swallow your tokens!

My recommendation would be to avoid the island itself, but if you are there, you could do a lot worse.
