DragonRidge

DragonRidge Country Club sits in the town of Henderson, a popular oasis for locals on the southern outskirts of Las Vegas. Working at the outskirts of the 20th Century, designer Jay Morrish uses both the urban appeal of Las Vegas to the north, and the scenic surroundings of Sloan Canyon National Conservation Area to the south in order to help this course breathe fire.

The final trio of holes create a thrilling finish in keeping with the gambling nature of the region. No. 16 is a potentially drivable par four, a feature that Morrish has built into hundreds of courses. If looking for an eagle putt, you’ll need to fly a tee shot over the rocky slope at the inside of this dogleg, and hope you catch the slope on the other side in such a fashion as to roll down to the green. No. 17 is a par three, one of two on the property that features the skyline of Las Vegas as its background.

If you got lucky on No. 16, you may be tempted to double your money on the closer. This par five features a Channel-style alternate fairway, separated from the main landing area by a desert wash. If you want to get home in two on this par five, you’ll need to go all-in from the tee.
