Drammen

Founded on 17th April 1989, Drammen Golfklubb is located to the south of the port city of Drammen, just off the main road heading south. Jeremy Turner designed the club’s golfing layout, routing a mix of parkland and woodland holes across a gently undulating landscape. A new clubhouse was brought into operation in 2004, significantly enhancing the playing experience for members and visitors alike.

Today, the course extends to 5,753 metres from the back markers, playing to a par of 71 (34 out then 37 in), with holes arranged as two returning nines across approximately 150 acres. The outward half measures almost 400 metres shorter than the inward half, thanks mainly to a configuration that features three par threes and only one par five.

Highlight holes include short par fours at the 1st, 8th and 17th; the shortest of the par threes at the 116-metre 6th, (with a cunningly positioned bunker protecting the front of the shallow green); the severely left doglegging par five 15th (rated stroke index 1); and the 492-metre finishing hole where the fairway tapers away as it approaches the home green.
