Drumoig is unfairly associated with the failed SGU experiment but this should not detract at all from what is a decent golf course. Starts with an inviting drive from a high tee - always a favourite of mine! The highlight is undoubtedly the magnificent 9th requiring a drive down to a narrow strip of land between two ponds and then a further shot to the green over water. The 10th and par 3 11th also have water in play. There are some rather featureless wide-open long slogs and unfortunately the original 18th has had to be amended for safety reasons into an unsatisfactory par 3 but Drumoig is well worth playing. Last winter it had some excellent deals and this deserves support.
